Farewell to the Legend of Kung Fu
We say goodbye to the Legend of Kung Fu show at Beijing Red Theatre, which has been permanently discontinued. For over a decade, Red Theatre welcomed millions of visitors, bringing the beauty, power, and spirit of Chinese martial arts to life.
The stage that once showcased breathtaking Kung Fu, acrobatics, and martial artistry is now occupied by Chaoyang Theatre’s acrobatic company. While the show ends, the memories, excitement, and cultural legacy it created will live on forever.
For those seeking similar experiences, we invite you to enjoy Chaoyang Theatre’s acrobatic performances at the same location — thrilling, visually stunning, and world-class.
Thank you for your support and for being part of our journey. The spirit of Kung Fu lives in all who experienced it! ✨

Dear Customers and Friends,
It is with a heavy heart that we announce the permanent closure of the “Legend of Kung Fu” show at the Beijing Red Theatre. For over a decade, the Red Theatre has been a cherished home for Chinese martial arts artistry, welcoming millions of visitors from around the world and showcasing the power, beauty, and spirit of Kung Fu through breathtaking performances.
The Glory of the Red Theatre
Since its opening, the Red Theatre became synonymous with high-quality cultural entertainment in Beijing. The Legend of Kung Fu show captured the imagination of audiences with its unique combination of traditional Chinese martial arts, acrobatics, and modern theatrical elements. Night after night, performers displayed incredible skill, precision, and dedication, transforming the stage into a world where martial arts met storytelling.
From its earliest days, the Red Theatre played a pivotal role in introducing Chinese martial arts culture to international travelers. Visitors from every continent came to witness the agility of Shaolin-inspired monks, the flowing elegance of Tai Chi sequences, and the explosive energy of choreographed battle scenes. The theatre became more than just a venue; it was a cultural landmark, a place where heritage and performance intertwined.
A Journey Through Time
The journey of the Red Theatre has been one of passion, artistry, and resilience. It grew from a small performance hall into a premier cultural destination in Beijing, hosting countless tourists, dignitaries, and martial arts enthusiasts. The team behind the show worked tirelessly, blending traditional techniques with innovative stagecraft to keep every performance fresh, engaging, and unforgettable.
Over the years, the theatre not only entertained but also educated audiences, providing a window into the discipline, philosophy, and history of Chinese Kung Fu. It fostered appreciation for martial arts as both a practical skill and an art form, emphasizing values such as respect, perseverance, and self-improvement.
The Final Curtain
After years of inspiring audiences and bringing the magic of Kung Fu to life, the Red Theatre’s stage has now been repurposed by the Chaoyang Theatre acrobatic company. The Kung Fu show will no longer be performed at this historic venue. While this marks the end of an era, we take comfort in knowing that the legacy of the Red Theatre lives on in the memories of the countless spectators who experienced its magic.
